Senate District 11
Overview
Senate District 11 currently serves portions of Brazoria, Galveston and Harris counties. The district is represented by the Hon. Larry Taylor, who serves as senator for the district. Based on the 2010 Census, the district has over 791,000 residents and approximately 250 individual election precincts.
Conservative District
As birthplace of the Republic of Texas, Senate District 11 is also the home of some of the most conservative grassroots activists in the nation. Conservative candidates for some of the nation’s highest offices carry more than 66% of votes in the district. Despite the overwhelmingly conservative electorate in the State of Texas, those same candidates perform nearly 8% higher in the district than they do statewide.
District Life
Senate District 11 is also a great place to visit, live, work, and raise a family. The district currently houses the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center, and numerous manufacturing plants. Additionally, whether it’s visiting one of Brazoria County’s many historical sites, Moody Gardens in Galveston County, or the San Jacinto Monument in Harris County, the district has no shortage of activities to enjoy with family, friends and fellow patriots.
